Fall 2025 8th Grade Students have the opportunity to tour Washington DC/Mount Vernon. The tour will depart Tuesday, October 21st at approx. 6:30am and return Thursday, October 23rd at approx. 7:30pm, Chaperones will be Jackson Middle School Staff (1 per 10-12 Students)

-7-8 Barons Bus Lines Motorcoaches * Arrive 6:00, Depart 6:30am

-Restroom Stop Enroute Oakmont Plaza Approx. 8:30am * Driver Relief

-Lunch /Restroom Stop Sideling Hill Plaza 11am (Students pack their own lunches/beverage)

-Arrive Arlington Cemetery 2pm; watch Changing of the Guard at Tomb of Unknown Soldiers, visit President John F. Kennedy gravesite

-Marine Memorial Iwo Jima 4pm

-Dinner at Pentagon City Mall Food Court 5:00pm * Meal Voucher

-White House 6:15 pm

-Lincoln/ WW2/Korean/Vietnam Memorials 7:00-9:15pm

-Buses will split into 2 groups for unloading/loading areas TBA

Wednesday, October 22

-Buffet Breakfast At Hotel 6:30am Depart Hotel 7:30am; Boys begin 6:30am, Girls Begin 6:45am

-Mount Vernon Admission 9am * Grounds, Museum, Mansion (If open)

-Smithsonian Mall Museums Flex Time 12noon-4:45pm *(Group choice; lunch food trucks or Smithsonians * $20 cash rebate)

-MLK, FDR, Jefferson Memorials 5:00-6:3pm

-Bowlero 7pm * 2 Hours bowling includes shoes, buffet dinner, Arcade credits !

-Return to Hotel 9:30pm

-Room Check & Goodnight – Student Watchers Security 10pm-6am

Thursday, October 23

-Buffet Breakfast at Hotel 7:00am Depart Hotel 8:00am

-US Capitol Building 9:00am (Guided tour tkts, Freshology Box Lunches Delivered at 11:00am)

-Depart For Jackson Middle School 12 Noon

-Dinner Stop at Breezewood Gateway Plaza 3pm (Cheeseburgers or Chicken Tenders, Chips, Bottled Water)

-Restroom Stop Ohio Border Turnpike Plaza 5:45pm

-Arrive Back at Jackson Middle School 7:30pm
